If you like travel and adventure, this is for you.

You can check out places to go and adventures to do and get some hints on how to get hold of guides and outfitters and what to do once you get there.

But this Blog didn't start out for that reason. As I traveled, I'd come home and friends and family would ask me about my trips. I would regale them with witty and engaging tales of my daring adventures, near death experiences, and exotic destinations. At least in my mind, in reality I suck as a storyteller. So I started this Blog to let anyone interested check out my trips without suffering through the agony of my dreadful tales.

I also have a more selfish reason for keeping this Blog. I'm a free lance writer and Blogs are great tools for getting your work out there for editors to see. I am a prolific writer with over one hundred published articles in magazines and websites such as the Wall Street Journal, SKI, Backpacker, Blue Ridge Country, Paddler, River, Outside Online, Discovery.com, GORP.com and major city newspapers. You can come here and check out just a few of the places I've been and the things I've done.
